Major and Minor Chord Trick - Keyboard players - Tutorials 1

As a keyboardist you must be knowing all the keys in a keyboard. Some of you will be just a beginner and you don't know much chords to play. There you will find very difficult to identify the chords in a particular scale. If you are not familiar with it you always tend to transpose the pitch in keyboard and play that in a scale which you are familiar with the chords.
Today I'm gonna teach you all how to identify Major scales in a keyboard. You don't need to search in internet for the chords which you don't know any more.

Here is the simplest thing you need to follow. As you see I have marked the keyboard with numbering starting from C note in a keyboard. So all the Major scales follow a simple pattern in forming the chords. You just need to count from the key which call out for the chords.

1-5-8 is for Major Chords
1-4-8 is for the minor Chords

Suppose you need to find C Major chord; the keys will be
C- 1
E-5
G-8

So here C Chord is C-E-G

Suppose you need to find C Minor chord; the keys will be
C- 1
D#-4
G-8

So here C Chord is C-D#-G

The same trick trick goes even if you want to find out G#m Chord
Use 1-4-8
Counting it starting the keys from G#-1 , B-4 , D#-8

So all you need to do is to count the 4th and 8th key for minor chords;
5th and 8th key for major Chords.
